Three Sisters- Beginning Stage

The three sisters growing technique has already started to come to fruition! The bush bean plant has begun to wrap around the corn. This beneficial relationship is two fold. Not only is the bush bean given greater stability and more access to sunlight by growing up the corn stalk, the bush bean also acts as a nitrogen fixer to provide more nutrients for the corn to grow! As both plants continue to grow in size, they will continue to benefit each other.
