Beneficial Visitors- Spiders

As the plants have continued to grow and develop, the biodiversity found among the crops has been increasing dramatically. This little spider was one of many that were found crawling around the strawberry plants. Not only does the presence of this spider reveal the success of the agroecosystem, the spider also serves as a natural pest control. Spiders eat insects and other unwanted pests, so the spider is actively benefiting the crop production of the JAWS garden.
