This past week on Thursday Gainesville was hit by hurricane Nicole making this the second time our garden has survived a hurricane. Although our garden was left mostly intact, there is damage to report. Pre hurricane we harvested as much as possible to prevent loss of harvest. Post harvest almost everything looked okay besides our bamboo tipi supports that were knocked and leaning sideways. I reinforced them putting them back in the ground vertically. As a result of them being knocked over the bush bean plants growing up them where damaged slightly.
