Exponential Bean Growth

This week in the garden it was more than obvious that the Kentucky bean crops were growing way faster than the okra and corn it was intended to grow up. The corn and okra had not grown to a level of maturity that would be able to withstand the excessive and rapid growth of the bean plants. We came across our first damaged crop which was a corn plant displayed in the photo, and new we had to take action immediately to save the other crops. We began by unwrapping the bean plants and detaching them from the okra and corn. Following this we installed bamboo sticks to provide stability for the bean plants to grow up rather than strangle the other crops.
