It's Corn!

The corn was finally ready to be harvested! Upon picking the ears of corn from the plants, we decided to peel a few of the corn back to see what they looked like underneath! Under the leaves and fiber that covered the corn, it was clear that the corn was planted too late in the season! In the corn that is pictured and several of the others, most of the kernels never properly developed. Next time we plant corn, we will make sure to plant it early enough to allow for a proper growth and development of the entire ear of corn. However, they still tasted great!
