Harvest Upkeep

 When interplanting a variety of crops, ensuring that the harvest protocols are consistently maintained is an important factor. This is critical as unharvested crops are not only lost products which translates to money, but the remaining fruits and vegetables become vectors for disease and pests. Remembering to check your crops and hold harvest sessions as often as possible during the growing season is a practice which can greatly improve the success of your farm. As we get to the end of the growing season, strawberries, beans, peppers, leafy greens, herbs, and squash will all be reaching maturity, so we will have to be harvesting continually to make the most out of our systems.
